Ash Michau Personal Training & Yoga in Phillip Island
 

I have been working as a personal trainer for six years in recreation centres and gyms in Eltham and Macleod before moving to the Island in 2017. My favorite styles of training include high intensity interval training, strength and conditioning training, yoga.

My fitness journey started when I hit an all time low, too much drinking and eating takeout had me stacking on the party kilos. Feeling terrible with no energy, no confidence and I started to find excuses not to attend social events. Eventually I worked up the courage to try a personal training session at my local gym. I remember not being able hold myself in a plank my arms trembling, but that didn’t matter to my trainer she was supportive and encouraging. The time flew by and my workout was done. After the next few sessions and started to see changes in the strength, began to crave healthy foods, new fond confidence tried group fitness classes. So I could do push ups, pull ups and started running. I went through years of having a personal trainer to discovered if I did not have someone to keep me accountable and check in with my goals I was going to go back to eating pizza and staying in my pj’s. Still to this day I have a coach keeping me accountable and on track. Someone to celebrate the little wins with and to help me believe in myself to achieve the next big goal.

I love working with people in a one on one environment and small group settings. Results and progress happens so quickly with a personlised and progressive structure. We get to build a great relationship and workout feels more like a fun hangout with friends.

Strength and high intensity training is fun and rewarding, being a big believer in holistic training, Taking time out to move at a slow and mindful pace has helped my body, mental health and mindset over the years.

My goal is show you that life is more enjoyable when you move well, laugh lots and play more.
