Mysore style refers to the original format of teaching the authentic Ashtanga Yoga asana practice, developed in the Indian city of Mysore.
Tracy and Greg will guide each of you individually through the sequence—offering alignment guidance, hands-on adjustments, and support with breathwork, which is an essential part of the practice. We will also offer personal variations to suit your individual needs.
Once you begin to remember the sequence, you will be able to continue practising in your own time at home between classes.
Our hope is to establish a small community of Ashtanga practitioners on the island—a group who may wish to continue practising together, perhaps visit the Fitzroy studio, and feel welcome to join the 4–5 nature retreats we host each year in beautiful locations.
The Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne | Fitzroy has been running since 1995, and we continue to share this beautiful practice with students of all ages and capabilities. There are no limitations—only adaptations.
